We came to light in the tiny village of Valtuille de Abajo, El Bierzo, León. Bodegas Peique, stands nested on the slopes of El Castro de la Ventosa, a spectacular ancient archaeological site pre-dating the Roman’s.
Here, it is no wonder that entire families are deeply committed to wine-making. Year after year, they continue to work the vineyards as one is sure to find the best grape variety of the terroir; a grape variety, which grows in clay and sandy soils, and matures to perfection in the Atlantic climate of Northern Spain.
Our winery is the culmination of 90 years, and three generations of hard work and winemaking expertise; melded together to make fine standing wines, which are only produced with the highest quality grapes.
