The farm has Emendis 48 hectares of vineyards of clay soils, poor in organic matter, calcarías and high magnesium component that gives our wine the acidity necessary to enjoy the freshness in the wines whites and cavas and provide good breeding structure of red wines. The wines and champagnes are produced in Emendis exclusive product of the vineyards of the estate. We have 12 different varieties of vineyards:
White varieties: Macabeo, Xarel·lo, Parellada, Chardonnay, Muscat Alejandía (coarse) and Muscat Frontignac (fine grain) inks Variety: Ull de llebre vines (tempranillo) and Merlot over 35 years, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, the experimental varietat Marselan and Monastrell.
Emendis implementing integrated viticulture: it respects and coexists with the flora and fauna of the environment and is constantly aware of the climate changes that may affect the vines. The vineyards are cultivated individually, adapting to the specific needs of each variety. For example, in the vineyards of Xarel.lo takes place a long pruning while the Chardonnay gives a better quality of grapes when you make a pruning cut.
Another technique used is the green harvesting, collection consisting of more productive varieties cone Muscat, Merlot and Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) when the plant stops growing and undergoes a color change. Thus deliberately grape is dropped in order to balance between plant maturation and fruit and thus achieve a notable improvement in calidadde wines.
To decide the best time of the vintage tracks the vineyards throughout the ripening process. Analytically controlled acidity (pH) and sugars in the must. In turn is carried out an organoleptic control.
